David is an investment professional with investment, advisory and management experience of over 13 years in East Africa. His current practice is as an Investment Manager with Pearl Capital Partners – a specialist agribusiness fund manager of private institutional capital with a wide footprint in East Africa, including Ethiopia and southern Africa (Malawi and Mozambique). Over the last 15 years, Pearl Capital Partners has managed in excess of US$ 60 million working with circa 40 enterprises. David has also worked in various capacities in the public debt and public equity markets.

David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a founding member of the CFA Society of East Africa, where he continues to volunteer. He completed his undergraduate at Makerere University with a Bachelor (Hons) of Arts in Economics.

David’s philosophy revolves around making capital available and effective in its management. Capital is not only about financial resources but also institutional support leveraged through technology. This is the kind of holistic support that is required to make especially small and medium scale enterprises competitive and thrive.
